ARE YOU A TRUE FRIEND?

What type of  friend are you?

A friend:
  • is sincere
  • will not betray you
  • will not judge you
  • does not care whether you are rich or poor
  • learned or unread
  • always there to share your happy and sad moments
  • does not pity you but helps you
  • is always frank and sincere even when it hurts
  • might not be known until you have a need
  • supports you
  • trusts you
  • kind and respects you
  • shows loyalty
  • sticks around when things get tough
  • makes you smile
  • always listens to you
  • wipe your tears when you cry
  • faces problems with you
  • gives out regardless
  • really cares deeply
  • makes time out
  • communicates effectively
  • accepts each other
  • genuine
  • compromises for you
  • believes in you
  • maintains realistic expectation
  • keeps promises and
  • stays in touch
To have a true friend, you have to be one! Life is a function of relationships, if  you have one cherish and nurture it.

Have a Blessed week!

Posts like this are useful for self-evaluation; and to know that real friends are never easy to come by. When you find one, don't loose it. Well done Mariah. Need I say more? You're a genius. Love you.

I can't be a friend to everyone. But, if i call you a friend then i mean it.
I am lucky and blessed to have a few TRUE friends and i believe they can also call me one.

There is nothing like a true friend. It does not exist. We are all individualistic and self-centred.

Dr, there is little or nothing to add here, as you have said in the concluding part that tohave a true friend you have to be one first. Be a true friend to others & you'll discover yor tre friend also.
Do to others what you expect others to do unto you. Shalom.

I can't fault Papadessy's submission. Everyone has limit to which he or she can live up to those things you wrote as characteristics of a true friend, Kemolala capped it up rightly with 'Only Jesus has all of those qualities'

Ahhh nawao,i hope the expectation of this true friend is also realistic ooo.
Ehen..is a friend permited to get angry especially when simple expectations have not been severally met? Or does that authomatically make the friend untrue?

Nice one Mariah, more inspiration in writing. However, in this world we live in... I don't think there's anyone that fit into all of those qualities. The only person I could think of Jesus, we are "work in progress" in being a true friend.

May God help us all in Jesus name
